Insulating new ships with GLAVA®

Kjetil Bjørgen, KAM Marine Offshore at GLAVA®, is confident that the company’s investment in innovation in order to adapt insulation for the offshore and maritime sector will be more than worthwhile.

“There is a lot of knowledge in various places about the significant impact of light weight and choice of material on the vessels, sustainability and fuel consumption, costs and the environment. We are delighted to have established such a close collaboration with a number of shipyards and design companies, which will enable us to move forward together. This is particularly important in a period of major flux for our industry,” explains Kjetil Bjørgen. He believes that the right combination of knowledge and advice has been the key to GLAVA®’s success. Several of the new ships that are being designed by Salt Ship Design and are built at Kleven are now insulated with GLAVA® solutions.
